Initially part of the QuickBooks Connected Services team, I’m currently a hybrid visual/experience designer working on QuickBooks Mobile for Android. I help bring life to all manner of new features and app improvements.

Interactive Designer, various [contract and freelance] / Jan 10 – Oct 10
For covert Seattle start-up, Intersect, reviewed user experience, designed user interface elements for website and iPhone app, and helped strategize future incarnations and eventual release of website.

For incubating Microsoft project, Courier, designed and refined web-based experiences for video interaction prototypes.

For small agency Fell Swoop designed sites for e-commerce and financial clients.

For large Seattle interactive agency, designed visual web experiences for clients ranging from large corporations to small nonprofit and arts organizations, including Target, Swedish Medical Center and the San Francisco Opera.

Designer, IF/THEN / Nov 08 – Apr 09
For small Seattle design firm, helped design and build HTML emails, XML-driven Flash modules, and CSS / HTML page layouts for diverse clientele. Hand-coded HTML, CSS and Actionscript 2. Designed sitemaps and wireframes when necessary.

Interactive Designer, Starbucks Coffee Company [Aquent] / Mar 08 – Nov 08
For Seattle headquarters, designed and coded Flash banner ads and homepage elements, reskinned starbucks.com for seasonal promotions, designed and produced HTML emails and graphics for continued maintenance of current website.

Interactive Designer, Fitch / Sep 07 – Mar 08
For Seattle office, designed HTML- and Flash-based projects. Collaborated with in-house and external development teams for web development.

Graphic Designer, RMB Vivid / Mar 06 – Sep 07
For small, award-winning design agency in downtown Seattle, designed identity systems and collateral pieces for real estate and nonprofit clients. Designed HTML- and Flash-based websites and, in collaboration with Flying Machine Development, edited Flash and XML files to create dynamic content.

Web Designer, Getty Images [Filter] / Jun 05 – Mar 06
For leading stock photo agency, based in Seattle, designed and produced web graphics and HTML emails, often on tight and simultaneous deadlines. Designed small print projects, including promotional postcards and mailings, and produced localized versions of web- and print-based projects.
